This year has been filled with some wonderful events from the Summer BB park event to the Halloween parade and after party, craft days and much more. New playgroups have formed and new babies have been born.
I am so excited to say that we have helped a record 25 families this year with our Adopt-A-Family Program. Best year yet!
The leadership team of the LBPC would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season We look forward to getting some new people involved in 2012.
Thank you for everyone that has helped this club grow to what is it today.
Our monthly LBPC newsletter will now be on our new blog. www.lagunabeachparentsclub.blogspot.com
Check it out from time to time to see any updates and or pictures from our events. Hope you enjoy!!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the people that volunteered for the Adopt A Family this year. We are so proud to announce that we have helped 25 families in need in the local Laguna Beach area and surrounding areas. This is the most amount of families that the LBPC have ever adopted. We are so proud and are truly gracious for your generosity.

Thank you STACI BINA for taking your time and organizing such a well executed Adopt A Family 2011. You are amazing and a great asset to the LBPC.

Event Highlights: Moms Night Out Manis and Martinis
November Moms Night Out was really relaxing and fun. We had a great turnout with over 20 moms. We took over Lovely Nails and had some martinis and manicures. It was relaxing and fun, just what a mom needs one in awhile.
Thank you to Sarah Nedelman for volunteering and planning the event.
If you have a good idea for a moms night out and would like to help plan one please contact Nicole Halpern.
Stay tuned for some fun MNO in 2012.

Winter Sawdust Festival Holiday Tree:
We had a great time decorating all of the glitter pine cones and hand prints for the LBPC holiday tree at the winter sawdust. It turned out great and it was fun to show the kids what they made.
Thank you to Alex Cattan and Noelle Gamber for organizing the craft.

Holiday Plate Making:
Thank you Amanda Brown and Tracy McLellan for organizing the holiday plate craft. We had an amazing turnout at the park. Over 25 people were there to decorate plates. It really is a perfect gift for the holidays.

Up Coming Events:
We will start 2012 out the gates with one of the most popular events which is the School Forum. Wednesday Jan 18th 7pm.
School Forum is a forum where you can learn about several options of schooling  in the Laguna Beach area from nursery to preschool to kindergarden.
The schools will not be there to represent themselves however we will have a parent volunteer speaker from the schools explaining the philosophy of the school and their experience there. It will be a brief lowdown on most of the preschool/kindergarden options in the area.
This is something you would want to attend if you are thinking of putting your children in nursery or preschool or kindergarden in the next year or so.
Great way to see what is out there and what they are all about.

If your child has gone to any of the schools in the area or surrounding area public or private and would like to volunteer 10 min of your time to talk about it at the school forum please contact Sarah at sarahnedelman@aol.com  Great way to help out and volunteer.

Save The Date:

Annual EASTER EGG HUNT Sunday March 25th

PARENTS NIGHT OUT on the town, Saturday April 28th

DETAILS TO COME
This is by far the best event of the year. This is where you get a sitter and get to go out on the town for some adult fun. Everyone will be meeting up at a local venue to have fun and meet other parents from town. It's a fun night that will be filled with drinks and dancing and adult conversation. No Kids allowed. hahahahaha

We  Need Volunteers!!!
Please see the post below for all the positions and volunteer tasks that we need to keep the LBPC alive. Please try to come to a meeting on the first Tuesday of each month to see how the LBPC is run and how YOU can help. Every little volunteer help counts. There is nothing that is that time consuming. Please e-mail me at njhalpern@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Sponsorship On The Blog and More:
If you are interested in being one of our sponsors and and having your logo and link on our LBPC blog as well as an add in our monthly newsletter please contact Stephanie at stephainetwohy@hotmail.com or Megan Hunt at meganhunt75@gmail.com for rates and details. What a great way to advertise your local business. If you know someone in the Laguna Beach area that is not part of the LBPC and would like to advertise please have them contact us.

Families Helping Families:
Don't forget that our FHF Program provides a free meal prepared by a local restaurant to any LBPC family briningZo-olu, House of Big Fish, K'ya Bistro, and Lumberyard!
The club will take care of ordering it, picking it up and delivering it to your doorstep.
Please contact Noelle Gamber if you are expecting so we can be sure to get you a meal. (noellegamber@mac.com)

An easy way to help out the LBPC is to volunteer to pick up a meal at one of the restaurants and deliver it to a family with a new baby. If this is something you can do once we would appreciate it. Please contact Noelle if this is something you can volunteer for.

Positions of the LBPC, WE NEED Volunteer Help

As you know the LBPC runs on volunteers. We need all the help we can get, every tiny bit helps. You can sign up to deliver a meal to a family that just had a baby or you can volunteer to help plan one of the many events that the LBPC offers. There are so many ways that YOU can volunteer.

We need new faces and new volunteers all of the time. The goal is to have people in these positions for a one year term. During that year if we can get new volunteers to  help out and see how easy it is then they can potentially take over the following year.

Stephanie and I have agreed to take on the role as Co- Presidents for the year of 2011-June 2012. We of course will help with all transitions when people choose to step up and volunteer. We need volunteers because without them the club will come to an end, we can only do so much.

The LBPC club is amazing and provides so many resources for parents to meet each other and get to know the community, we do not want to see it die. We understand everyone is busy but with over 270 families in the club we would love to see a little more help.

Below is a list of positions that are necessary for the club to remain in tact and strong. If you have any interest in helping out with any of them feel free to e-mail us. Nicole Halpern & Stephanie Quarles.
Currently we have some members in these positions but if you are at all interested in anything come check out what it entails and we would be happy to have you on board.

Feel Free to shoot us an e-mail if you have any questions.
Thanks!
