Love is in the Air!

There certainly was a lot of love in the air surrounding LBPC Valentine's events. There was a fun club-wide painting craft and the playgroups creatively planned some Valentine's Day photo shoots and even a tea party. A warm and heartfelt thank you all that organized and participated. You make this club special.

There's more fun to come. Our next big event is the Patriots Day Parade. Digging out your red, white, and blue shouldn't be too hard since I know you've all been sporting it in support of Team USA all month. Come march with us. In it's 48th year, the Patriots Parade is a local tradition not to be missed.

Some other fun things to look out for are a Mom's Night Out, our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and some helpful speakers and forums.

Exciting things are going on at the LBPC and we're so happy you're a part of it.

LBPC Monthly Meeting

We have so many fun events in the works at LBPC - an artful MNO, Patriots Day Parade, speakers, the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and before we know our Mother's & Father's Day crafts. There's a lot to be excited about. We'd love to have your input and even more so your company. Join us for our monthly meeting.

Laguna Beach Patriot's Day Parade

When: Sat Mar 1, 2014, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
Where: Laguna beach high school track field
Come be apart of a Laguna Beach community event!!
This years Patriot's Day Parade will be Saturday March 1st at 11 AM. We will be asking that anyone who would like to meet up and march with us this year be at the high school track field by 10:30 as we will be walking towards the beginning of the parade this year. However, please feel free to join in at any point along the parade.
For those that are not familiar with the parade route, it begins at the high school on Park st, travels down Park to Forest by way of Glenneyre.

March Book Club

Peapod Academy

When: 10:30 am – noon, recurs Every Thursday

The Academy has space for new cadets. Join some of the cutest babies in town and the adults of their choice at this Library story time. Little peas will enjoy songs, finger plays, board books and other cadets. Get to know others and help your child learn pre-reading skills. Free.

Sunshine Readers' Pajama Storytime

When: 7–8 pm, recurs Every Tuesday

Where: Laguna Beach Library

The first Tuesday of every month is a storytime speciality. Come listen to the best books read by a highly enthusiastic group of young ladies, the Sunshine Readers, National Charity League Volunteers. Punch, cookies (with parental discretion) and stickers follow storytime. Free. Pajama storytimes with crafts are held each Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.

The Fun Times We've Had Over the Last Month:

Chinese New Year

Great fun was had with the Boys & Girls Club celebrating the year of the horse. We made lanterns, had a tea party in the garden, and even powered a dragon parade. Big thanks for Megan Wilson for helping organize this event in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club. They are a great resource in town and it was fun to check out their digs.

Valentine's Day Craft

Painting is F.U.N. Many came out for our Valentine's Day craft and painted jewelry boxes, bird houses, and heart shaped frames. Shout out to Rebecca Faubion's art program - Artful Everyday - a sponsor of the LBPC, which ran our craft event.

We need your help!

Our parents club is 100% run by volunteers. It takes a lot of people to pull off our events, manage the calendar, monitor the website and keep everyone happy!

We VERY MUCH need help with the following:

2014 Playgroup Coordinator - we are seeing some interest (already) in forming a 2014 playgroup - AMAZING! If you have a 2014 kiddo (or maybe a late 2013 kiddo) and would like to coordinate please contact jenniferleonti@gmail.com. This is a great way to meet other moms and give back to this wonderful network.
Newsletter Coordinator - We need a newsletter coordinator ASAP. If you've been itching to flex your writing skills (as opposed to your coloring skills), here's your opportunity.

Thank you to those folks who have recently stepped up to continue to make this club go 'round.

Meals for New Parents

We offer a free meal prepared by a local restaurant to any LBPC family bringing home a new baby. The family can choose from several menu options. The Club takes care of ordering the food, picking it up and delivering it to the families doorstep. Yum Yum!
