February is Love month and there's been no shortage of love at the Laguna Beach Parents Club. We had a spectacular turn out at our Valentine's Day Craft and Chinese New Year celebration. We are grateful to the library for their support and for hosting us for the Valentine's Day craft. Love was surely felt from our group of volunteers (Sarah Dvorak, Corinna Thavirat, and Kelly O'Brien) who spearheaded the Chinese New Year event. A huge thank you to all our volunteers and our members. LBPC feels your love.

The Patriots Day Parade (March 7th) is NEXT WEEKEND. This year's Patriots Day Parade we're really getting into the spirit. The parade's theme is "Home of the Free because of the Brave," so dress your little ones as brave superheros (and yourself too if you are so inclined). It is going to be a hoot! Check out more details below, and RSVP here.
Exciting things are going on at the LBPC and we're so happy you're a part of it.
Upcoming Events
Patriots Day Parade
When: Sat Mar 7, 2015, 10 am – noon
Where: Park Avenue
Description:
The 2015 Patriots Day Parade is Saturday, March 7th.
The Laguna Beach Parents Club has a spot and we will be doing something special this year! Come walk with us and represent the LB Parents Club and all the great stuff we do, in true Laguna style (kicked back and fun!)
The theme of the parade is: “Home of the Free Because of the Brave!”
So we encourage you and your little one(s) to dress in their favorite superhero costume…with a patriotic twist. Go big or keep it simple. Don’t have a costume, make one. Don’t want to make one, wear red, white, and blue.
If you have a family member that serves, or served the county, you could pay homage to them. Invite them to walk with us! Bring their picture, wear their uniform, or make a sign thanking them.
More details are to come. Don’t miss out on participating in this Laguna tradition!

Valentine's Day Craft and Story Time
On February 7th with celebrated Valentine's Day with the Laguna Beach Library. The Library set up cute, festive crafts that included a hand-print keepsake and keepsake boxes for the kids to decorate. Pam, our children's librarian, continued the event with story time. If you haven't checked out all that our local library has to offer for the kids lately, you're missing out. Check out what's going on in March in our what's going on around town and beyond forum.
Chinese New Year Celebration
The Chinese New Year Celebration was a great success. What luck that the New Year collided with ski week and we were able to hold our celebration on the first day of the New Year. For those that missed the event, check out these great photos!

Our parents club is 100% run by volunteers. It takes a lot of people to pull off our events, manage the calendar, monitor the website and keep everyone happy! Please join us at our monthly meetings to help keep with wonderful community organization thriving.
We VERY MUCH need help with the following:
- Calendar Coordinator - We are looking to fill the position of calendar coordinator. This person will help keep the club members in "the know" about events going on in our community by posting their findings on our bigtent calendar.
- Newsletter Coordinator- Looking to flex your writing skills instead of your coloring skills? Here's your opportunity.
Thank you to those folks who have recently stepped up to continue to make this club go 'round.
