Eggs, Eggs, and More Eggs!

The sun shined brightly on the fields at Alta where our kids gleefully hunted for eggs. Okay, so some of the chocolate melted but no one seemed to mind because there was much to see, do, and eat!  

A great, big thank you to Brian Wegener from Mind Blowing Balloons for providing insanely sculpted balloons, the amazingly talented Sara Campbell from Couture Paintings for decorating the faces of so many happy children, our club sponsor, Brooke Briggs from Magic Steps Music for the lively musical entertainment, and Tara Manera from SOC Photography for capturing the spirit of the day.

The afternoon was a true success with help from the high school volunteers from the Lion’s Heart organization.  And, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our own: Kelly O’Brien, Jen Leonti, Heather and Phil Brandes, Courtney Roach, Corinna Thavirat and her mother, Martha, Christine Russell, Trisha Dearing, and Megan Cauley.  And, a special thank you to Brad for making sure the coyotes didn’t devour our leftovers.  Lastly, I wanted to thank each of you who donated to the Laguna Beach Food Pantry.  They were overwhelmed by your generosity!  

It just goes to show that when we all come together great things are accomplished.  This Egg Hunt was one to remember!

Happenings in March...

Easter Egg Hunt

This year's Easter Egg Hunt was a blast!  The kids were delighted with fields of eggs and toys.  But, the fun didn't stop there. We had music, face painting, balloon animals, games, cookie decorating, and even a craft.  Some kids loved taking pictures with the Bunny, some were terrified, and some where just plain curious.  Take a look at these joyful faces...

Field Trips

Thank you to Tiffany Waugh for her effort in coordinating two all-age field trips (Lyon Air Museum and Irvine Park) this month.  We're so glad she has stepped up to organize these outings. Birth Announcements

I can hardly take it - these babies are so unbelievably cute. Welcome to the world, little ones! And, congratulations (!) to the following Laguna families:

South Laguna residents, Adrienne and Brett Calapp welcomed their first child, Phoenix Emma.  Sweet girl was born January 28, weighing 6 lbs 7 oz and 18 inches long.

Precious Meissa Glynn Herring was born February 19 to proud parents Jayne and Gar Herring of Wood's Cove.  She joins big sister, Inara, a second grader at El Morro.

New parents Jacqueline and Andy Bennett met their handsome little man, Lucas Edward Bennett, on February 20. He arrived weighing 8 lbs 13 oz, and 22 inches long!
